About the Office

The Office of Pathway Innovation and Inclusive Excellence replaces the former Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the College of Medicine. The new name reflects the college’s vision for expanding team-based work cultures and increasing pathways for undergraduate students, graduate students, medical students, residents, faculty and staff.

The Office of Pathway Innovation and Inclusive Excellence, led by Dr. Steven Kniffley Jr., PsyD, is dedicated to creating a more diverse and inclusive healthcare workforce. Recognizing the evolving landscape of healthcare, the office focuses on increasing access to medical education and careers for individuals from all backgrounds.
