Students will experientially explore commonly used mind‐body modalities including mindfulness, guided imagery, massage, yoga, etc., which enhance stress management and promote overall wellness. This course provides an evidence‐base and indication for use of mind‐body techniques in a personal and professional/clinical setting.
Learning Objectives
- Examine the evidence‐base and scientific support of mind‐body medicine.
- Practice a variety of mind‐body skills including mindfulness, guided imagery and yoga.
- Understand the potential of mind‐body approaches for stress management, wellness promotion, lifestyle management and optimal learning performance.
- Implement mind‐body skills in his/her personal life and professional practice.
