Anti-Racism Task Force

Mission

The mission of this taskforce is to establish a new institutional culture–relationship and create educational policies and practices that are anti-racist.  We are in a unique moment in history that can lead to meaningful and lasting change that aligns with our values to care for each other and our patients.

Aims

  • Eliminate long-standing institutional racism at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
  • Foster ongoing, authentic dialogue about race, racism, and anti-blackness.
  • Incorporate required anti-racism curriculum content into all levels of education for medical students.
  • Implement strategies to optimize recruitment and retention of diverse students, residents, and faculty at UCCOM.
  • Implement required ongoing COM-wide anti-racism education.
