National Institute's of Health Grant Renewed for Teen-LABS Research Center
The Teen-LABS Biostatistical Research Center has been awarded a grant renewal in the amount of $1,066,072 by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health. Co-principal investigators on the grant are Changchun Xie, PhD, associate professor of biostatistics in the Department of Environmental Health, and Todd Jenkins, PhD, MPH, a research assistant professor in the Department of Surgery and Department of Pediatrics, also with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Teen-LABS, which began in 2007, will continue to evaluate the long-term beneficial treatment effects and adverse outcomes of weight loss surgery performed in adolescents, with the Biostatistics Research Center leading the data collection and management of statistical analysis operations.
